After the success and applause we’ve received from those who’ve experienced the original 20km ‘Un-Urban Pedal’, we’ve answered your calls. Here it is - a 40km, full-day exploring the amazing world that is Bangkok’s urban khlong (canal) system. Slap on a helmet, mount your bike and we’ll head out for a day few have experienced and one you’ll surely never forget.

Heading out from the city’s far eastern suburbs, we’ll explore nooks and crannies that will quickly leave you forgetting you’re in an Asian mega-city. As interesting as the scenery is, be sure to keep your eyes on the narrow sidewalks you’re riding that hover roughly five feet above the water below. These khlongs are beautiful, but you probably don’t want to go for a swim!

Today you’ll see scenes unfold before your eyes that will leave you breathless. A completely different world surrounds you as old women paddle boats in search of canal crustaceans, children cool off with a swim and curious locals emerge from every corner. This is the day that truly defines why Thais are known for their smiles. We guarantee you’ve never before been welcomed by so many friendly people. After all, foreigners are rarely seen on these khlongs and we’re as much of an attraction for the locals as the areas and people are for us. You might even be asked to pose for a photo!

This is an incredible day, but suited only to those with a fair amount of biking experience and stamina. Bangkok’s heat can be daunting; the ride is full of potential for big splashes and should only be undertaken by those with a thirst for serious adventure. This adventure is approximately four hours in length. Trips can leave in the morning or early afternoon.
