In the Community
In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Bangkok South we launched the first instalment of this program in July 2002, and it was a huge success. The idea of English Fun Days is for suited persons from English speaking countries to spend two weeks in a wonderful, rural, northern Thai town (Doi Mae Salong) teaching English at the local junior/high school. It’s not necessary to be a teacher, but we need to spend some time assessing each candidate to make sure they will be able to handle the task of teaching and residing in this small town.
All time and expenses of Smiling Albino to set up, plan, organize and escort the volunteers for this project are fully donated by Smiling Albino in order to see English Fun Days succeed. We aim to conduct this program three times per school year. If you’re interested in participating as a volunteer teacher, please fill out our Bio Questionnaire. If you have questions after reading this information, please contact us at community@smilingalbino.com.
