Meet Us
Jerry
Highland Farm

Jerry The Gibbon
Jerry, is a male, Lar, Gibbon, somewhere between 10 and 12 years old. Jerry’s body is very round in shape as compared to the normal long, slim body shape of other gibbons due to his spinal deviation. (It is thought that he was originally owned by a man who may have kicked Jerry when we has young creating his current spinal problem.)

We donate a portion of all Smiling Albino adventure proceeds (i.e. what you pay us) to Highland Farm to provide for Jerry. This money will be used to feed him, put a roof over his head and help keep him happy. If you have any questions, please contact us or read more in our community section.

Jerry is a resident of Highland Farm, a wildlife refuge and reforestation project located in Tak province. The farm was started in 1991 by Pharanee and William Deters to reforest their 35 acres and help reverse the loss of vanishing Thai forest. It was slowly established as a wildlife refuge as, first one, then over the next few years eventually 34 gibbons along with an Asian Black Bear, a handful of Lorus, Peacocks, one special little owl and a smattering of other creatures, were brought to live on the farm.
