Smiling Albino – Bangkok and Ayutthaya Host

A man of many talents demonstrating fishing techniques

With a Thai history teacher for a mother, Guide Noom grew up surrounded by history books and colourful tales of ancient Siamese culture and traditions. His enthusiasm and knowledge for all things Thai enables him to bring a fresh wealth of knowledge and experiences to every trip.
A man of many talents, Noom spent several years managing air traffic control for the Royal Thai Navy, including posts as a helicopter communications officer and Sea Harrier aircraft communications controller. He has trained in Sea and Land Survival, so you know you’re in good hands, and was on the official Navy volleyball and tennis teams for 10 years! His Navy background took him to exotic locales like the Gulf of Thailand and year-long stint in Spain.
Noom’s interest in guiding came from being a liaison and coordinating officer for US personnel visiting Thailand. During these experiences he found he was a natural at showing people the inner heart of Thailand. His heart was now set on a fun post-military career!
A devout Buddhist, Noom speaks to the heart of his guests and tries to help them see the finer, subtler elements of Thailand often missed by visitors. His cheerful motto for life is, “learn to laugh all the time and you’ll see how fun life can be!”
With that attitude he brings lots of smiles to guest’s faces and his mastery of all things Thai gets straight A’s from his professor mom!
