ATMs are widely available and a great way to access funds during your adventure without having to worry about carrying too much cash or traveler’s cheques at one time.
Major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express) are accepted at major retailers but usually a 3-4% service fee is incurred.

Thailand boasts two excellent English daily newspapers, though many international papers and magazines can be had at larger bookstores and newstands in Bangkok.
Photography
Quality film is readily available throughout Thailand at competitive prices.
If you wish to use your video camera here, bring enough videocassettes with you from home as the video format here is not the same as in North America and proper cassettes can be difficult to find.
