Travel Tips - Cambodia - Food

Good food is something we're really passionate about. Many guests have said their Smiling Albino adventure could be described as a culinary trip mixed liberally with a variety of activities and venues, due to our very deliberate emphasis on dining.

Cambodian, or Khmer, cuisine takes some of the best qualities from Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisines and blends them into a unique and delicious culinary experience.

People often comment that Khmer food is similar to Thai but without the shocking heat. There is an emphasis on fish and rice, stewed meats accompanied by spicy vegetables, shrimp and seafood fritters. As a terrific bonus, the local beer (Angkor) is quite decent!

Our trips in Cambodia feature everything from chic international dining and colonial-style cafes to simple, family-run local Khmer eateries. We emphasize healthy, unique, delicious food, ensuring that your Smiling Albino adventure is a totally enriching culinary experience.
