Travel Tips - What to Pack
Your Smiling Albino hosts will take care of your baggage and you'll rarely need to carry personal items further than 100m, it's important to consider that you'll also have to manage your bags when you're not with us. A good rule of thumb is that if you can't manage your bag yourself, you've packed too much. Many airlines restrict luggage to 20kg per person or less.
Being comfortable in a hot climate is key, but also keeping local customs in mind is of prime importance. People in the region by nature are rather modest and do not tend to show off flesh. When visiting temples they always wear a proper shirt and long pants. Every effort should be made to do so as well. While very hot, be sure to wear a shirt that covers your shoulders and light pants if possible. If you just can't manage pants in the heat, you could get away with long, polite shorts, but consider taking a sarong with you that you can wrap around your lower-half when visiting temples.

Temperatures in the northern regions and in Nepal can often dip to single digits (Celsius) or lower at night. It's recommended to bring a sweater or fleece along too. During July-September you may wish to bring a rain jacket in case of showers.
It's also nice to have one outfit that you can wear to a trendy restaurant, bar or concert.
For our active adventures (cycling/hiking trips) you may wish to bring your own cycling helmet, biking gloves, biking shorts, hydration pack, energy bars and clipless pedals if you have some at home you enjoy.
