On the Marrakech Express: Smiling Albino Prepares for PURE

The 2023 edition of PURE Life Experiences, the world’s leading experiential travel trade event, is coming up next month and Smiling Albino - in the form of founder Daniel Fraser and GM Kelly Willis - will be heading off to Marrakech to meet up with old friends and clients, and to hopefully make some new ones.
“PURE is the creme de la creme of travel trade shows,” says Kelly. “It enables us to reconnect with industry friends and make new connections in our continued quest to be the best experiential luxury travel operator in Southeast Asia.”
Dan agrees: “PURE consistently brings together the best experiential luxury operators in the world, and we’re looking forward to renewing fantastic relationships with our partners, along with making important new connections.” And for Dan, it’s these connections that make PURE so special. “So many people pop by our booth by way of reference from other people they meet at the show. This always reminds me how fabulously lucky we are to have such great partners and friends helping promote our mission.”
One of our obsessions is reimagining what luxury travel can be, as well as focusing on some of Southeast Asia’s less visited destinations, and Kelly believes PURE is the perfect forum to communicate these messages. “We know PURE’s importance in changing the perception of what luxury and experiential travel is to the global travel industry” she says, “and it’s the perfect place to get across the important role we play in promoting secondary destinations and experiences that appeal to a niche travel sector.”
With the 2023 show marking ten years of PURE attendance for Smiling Albino, Dan is particularly excited and has got plenty of surprises planned for attendees. “We’ll be bringing plenty of wild photos and videos of some of the stuff we’ve been doing over the last few years,” he says. “And we will of course come bearing gifts, smiles, and energy, as well as hot water and lemon for those who are feeling a little sluggish.”
We’ll also be presenting some fantastic new trip ideas that are sure to excite PURE delegates. “We’re excited about our upcoming Bill Bensley Art Trail trip” says Dan, “and we’ll also be talking about heli-hopping and jet-skiing in Vietnam’s far north, sunset kayaking in Chiang Mai, Bikes Boats & Beers in Bangkok, and a whole lot more.”
