One of the things we love most about travel is getting out there, trying new things and blazing new trails. A while back we met a person selling inflatible stand up paddle boards in Thailand. After chatting for a while it was decided we would take one up to Chiang Rai province, Thailand’s northernmost and give it a try on the Mae Kok River. This is an area that’s served as the base for many of our Thailand adventures and we were interested in how the board would perform when the water on the river was high. Always looking to stay on the forefront of travel and incorporate new activities and options in to our trips, this seemed like a great new activity to try. Have a look at the video to see how it went. It truly was an incredible day and we believe it was the first time anyone has done stand up paddling on this river.
