Role Overview

As a Senior Travel Consultant at Smiling Albino, you will be a key player in delivering our exceptional travel experiences. Your responsibility will be to engage with clients from around the world, working with them to design the unique journeys only Smiling Albino can offer. Your expertise and passion for travel will ensure that each client enjoys a memorable and one-of-a-kind adventure.

Key Qualifications

Luxury Travel
  • Expertise in experiential luxury travel with in-depth knowledge of Southeast Asia destinations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in luxury travel consulting.
  • Preferred experience selling to North American and UK markets.
Sales Acumen
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to close deals and achieve targets.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Empathy and the ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Creative and curious, with a proactive approach to planning and problem-solving.
Detail Oriented

We are looking for Operations Specialists to join our mission to “inject ‘Customer Service WOW’” at every point in the client journey into the values of all teams. You will be a part of our operations team to deliver seamless experiences to our high expectations of international guests.

The Role:

  • Trip Management: Ensure seamless bookings, reservations, and logistics for hotels, airlines, and local partners.
  • Client Support: Assist travel consultants, resolve travel issues, manage guide assignments, and handle customer care.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor tour details, update documentation, check operation performance, and ensure accuracy.

What you can offer:

  • Minimum degree educated in related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years in tour operations, travel agencies, hotels, or related fields.
  • Fluent in English and Thai – written and spoken.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our mission to “inject ‘Customer Service WOW” at every point in the client journey and into the values of all teams. You will be a part of our Guest Experience Team helping to deliver seamless experiences to our high expectations of international guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Management & Inquiry Tracking:

  • Record all inquiries in Podio, ensuring visibility across the team, and track their status in AXUS and Confluence systems.
  • Follow up to confirm timely responses, track inquiry progression, and identify if they evolve into proposals, ensuring no inquiry goes unaddressed.

Operational Briefing & Coordination:

  • Conduct briefings with Operations to cover all aspects of incoming trips, ensuring smooth planning and execution.
  • Lead regular coordination meetings to ensure a seamless handoff, particularly around Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) for client arrangements.

Sales Support:

  • Manage day-trip sales, including client communication, booking (when required during peak season), and follow-up for seamless execution.
  • Activate pre-sales process with lead Travel Designer.
  • Activate post-sales process with lead Travel Designer.

Travel & Product Research:

  • Research hotel options to confirm availability, assess restrictions, and evaluate suitability for upcoming client trips.
  • Use Amadeus to check flight availability, schedules, and routes, coordinating relevant details with the team as needed.

Product Support & Development:

  • Provide additional support on product research and development as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of Smiling Albino’s offerings.

Peak- Time Operational Support:

  • Act as a support bridge during peak operational periods and Saturdays, assisting the Client Services team with client communication, booking confirmations, and inquiry follow-ups to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager, Sales (MICE & Special Projects) serves as both a lead within Smiling Albino’s MICE and Special Projects division and as the Deputy to the Head of Sales & Client Services. This role is ideal for a sales leader with proven experience in luxury group travel, incentives, and high-touch project management who thrives on innovation and precision.

The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, mentor team members, and deliver complex, bespoke programs that embody Smiling Albino’s brand of Thoughtful Luxury.

The position will begin with direct supervision of 1–2 team members, expanding to a small team of 3–5 within six months as the MICE & Special Projects division grows. As this evolution takes place, the division’s leadership structure will continue to refine shared responsibilities between the Head and Deputy Head of Sales in areas such as reporting, data oversight, performance coaching, and senior client relationship management.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the next phase of Smiling Albino’s group and incentive travel portfolio, working with global partners and high-profile brands.

Key Accountabilities

1. Sales Leadership & Deputy Leadership

  • Act as 2IC to the Head of Sales & Client Services, supporting daily sales operations and approvals when required.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision for 1–2 team members initially, with scope to grow into a 3–5 person team as MICE & Special Projects scale.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales to define evolving leadership responsibilities including reporting, performance coaching, data oversight, and senior client relationship management.
  • Coach and mentor Travel Designers and Coordinators to strengthen sales conversion and client communication.
  • Contribute to departmental sales targets and conversion ratios.

2. MICE & Special Projects Management

  • Lead the end-to-end design and execution of corporate incentive travel, special events, brand collaborations, and B2B FAM trips.
  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations aligned with client objectives and Smiling Albino’s creative standards.
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally with Operations, Product, and Marketing to ensure seamless delivery.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Own and expand a portfolio of global corporate and agency clients, building long-term relationships.
  • Proactively manage communications, ensuring swift response and anticipatory service.
  • Represent Smiling Albino at industry events and client meetings to strengthen brand presence.

4. Revenue & Performance Accountability

  • Achieve and exceed personal and team sales targets per fiscal year.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales to monitor KPIs and report performance metrics to the Executive Director.
  • Identify new MICE business opportunities and partnership channels for growth.

5. Process & Standards Improvement

  • Enhance the efficiency of MICE/Special Projects processes and sales workflows.
  • Develop and share best practices with the broader Sales team to ensure consistency and excellence.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury MICE, DMC, or incentive house environments within Southeast Asia.
  • Strong sales track record with proven ability to design and deliver complex group programs.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills; fluent in English (Thai an advantage).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow a small team while remaining hands-on.
  • Excellent time-management, budgeting, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Podio, Axus) preferred.
