WHEN TO GO

Of all the major Southeast Asian destinations, Luang Prabang surely has the most agreeable climate. Even during the rainy season it never gets too wet, and apart from a brief hot period in the spring, temperatures are generally warm during the day and cool – sometimes cold – at night.

We particularly love the winter months, with their mild days perfect for exploring the town and its surroundings, and cool evenings perfect for a drink on the banks of the Mekong.
